i kissed her
and walked. . .
i kissed her
and ran . . .
i jumped from tree to tree
gliding across crosswalks and rusty metal grates
from sidewalk to street back to sidewalk
nothing really mattered but that,
i had kissed her. . .
how time passed and change passed
and it rained,
it poured and flooded
inundating love and liking someone until we both drowned
and i sleep alone at night,
alone gasping for air
jumping from dream to dream
drowning in shallow puddles
